The Department of the City Manager is responsible for making policy recommendations to the City Council and implementing them as adopted. The City Manager serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the City and is responsible for daily operations. Additional duties include: (1) Represent the City in legislative actions (2) Oversee emergency management operations (3) Manage environmental issues (4) Oversee annual Budget and Investment Policy (5) Work with other agencies in addressing regional issues (6) Oversee City Hall operations and services to the community (7) Provide information to the Council in a timely manner (8) Oversee Information Technology.
