The City is revising the Sign Code, Chapter 9.164 of the Zoning Ordinance, to better serve and reflect the image of the community. By discouraging sign proliferation and outdated sign designs while encouraging high-quality signage applied in an aesthetically-pleasing manner, City businesses and establishments will benefit from effective signage for identification and further the modern image of the City. The proposed changes aim to meet this goal and also increase the ease-of-use of the document. Your input and questions are welcomed! Please submit your comments by June 30, 2009! Staff anticipates that the Sign Code revisions will commence the adoption process in late summer 2009, but depending on input received, may revise this target date.
The proposed changes to the Sign Code are summarized in a table format for easy viewing and quick reference. If a sign type has not been included in the table, there are no changes proposed for that sign type at this time. The table will be updated as changes are made. View the proposed changes.
