The Department of Management Services includes the divisions of Human Resources, Information Technology and Public Affairs. The Department coordinates the recruitment of talented and highly qualified candidates to join the City’s workforce, provides safety training and directs the City’s risk management program. The Department also manages the City’s technology needs and public information, including City publications, websites and communication with the media. The Department also conducts special studies, such as the biennial Resident and Business Satisfaction Study. The Director is responsible for serving as the Public Information Officer.
