The City of Lake Forest welcomed its newest restaurant, Sushi Izakaya Rei, to the Orchard shopping center on November 20, 2009. A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting event was held and was attended by the City of Lake Forest, representatives from the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce, and staff from Congressman John Campbell’s office. The restaurant owners were presented with certificates welcoming them to the City and visitors were given a tour of the restaurant.

Grand Opening Celebration for Hooters Restaurant
Hooters Restaurant celebrated its grand opening on Friday, November 13, 2009. The City of Lake Forest, representatives from the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce, and staff from Congressman Tom Campbell’s office were on hand to present certificates welcoming Hooters to the city. The celebration included a tour of the facility and appetizers for attendees.
Hooters is located at located at 24356 Swartz Drive, near the intersection of El Toro Road and the San Diego Freeway. The new 3,500 square foot location includes 29 high definition flat screen televisions and seating that can accommodate up to 256 guests.
Holiday Inn in Lake Forest Celebrates Grand Opening
The new Holiday Inn in Lake Forest celebrated its grand opening on Friday, October 23,2009. Representatives from the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce, the City of Lake Forest, State Senator Mimi Walters Office, and Orange County Supervisor Patricia Bates’ office attended the ribbon-cutting and presented the Holiday Inn with certificates welcoming them to Lake Forest and Orange County. The celebration included a tour of the facility and appetizers for attendees.

Grand Opening Celebration for Buffalo Wild Wings
On October 12, 2009, the City of Lake Forest and Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce joined Buffalo Wild Wings as it celebrated its Grand Opening in Lake Forest and its first South County location. The celebration included a short presentation with certificates from the City of Lake Forest and the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce welcoming Buffalo Wild Wings to Lake Forest. In celebration of Buffalo Wild Wings Grand Opening they provided free wings to the first 125 people in line.
Buffalo Wild Wings is located in the Gateway plaza at 23600 Rockfield Blvd.,and will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. Chick-Fil-A Celebrates Grand Opening
On September 3, 2009, Chick-fil-A opened its Lake Forest location at 26792 Portola Parkway. Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy welcomed attendee sand commenced the day’s celebration. The grand opening followed Chick-Fil-A’s free year’s supply of Chick-Fil-A meal certificates provided to the first 100 customers earlier that morning.
Representatives from the City of Lake Forest and Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce welcomed Chick-Fil-A and the City of Lake Forest presented Chick-Fil-A with a certificate welcoming their business to Lake Forest. True to Chick-Fil-A tradition, all attendees took part of “the first bite” of delicious Chick-Fil-A sandwiches during the grand opening celebration.
