Marcia Rudolph, City Council Member Lake Forest, California Elected 2008
Marcia Rudolph was reelected as a member of the Lake Forest City Council in 2008. She is a returning member of the City Council, having served from the time of the City's incorporation in 1991 through 1994 and elected again in 1996. She served as Mayor Pro Tem in 1993 and Mayor in 1994.
Council Member Rudolph currently serves as the City's representative to the Board of Directors of the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority and as alternate to the Orange County Library Board and Orange County Vector Control. She also has been appointed for the past seven years to the State League of Cities Employee Relations Policy Committee and for the past two years to the Environmental Quality Policy Committee. She is also entering her third two-year term as a member of the Orange County Child Care and Development Planning Council
Council Member Rudolph is a founding member of the Edward J. Kearns Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6024, member of the El Toro and Foothill Ranch Libraries' Friends and an active volunteer at Adopt-A-Neighbor. She is also a founding member, and current Sub-Committee Chair of the Restoration Advisory Board for MCAS-ET involved with the toxic clean-up of the sites on the former base. She is also a recipient of the highest Certificate of Graduation from the League of Cities Leadership Academy, and member of its Advisory Committee.
Council Member Rudolph moved to the Saddleback Valley in 1973, originally settling in Aegean Hills where she served three terms as president of the homeowners association. She was also active in the Saddleback Area Coordinating Council for over fifteen years, and served as president and member of its Planning Review Committee. She has also been an active opponent of any aviation use of MCAS-ET.
Marcia Rudolph earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree and California Elementary Teaching Credential from Mount Saint Mary's College in Los Angeles and is recently retired after twenty years as an elementary teacher in the Saddleback District. Marcia is the mother of six adult children.
