Lake Forest, California Elected 2004/ Re-Elected 2008
Council Member Mark Tettemer was elected to City Council in 2004. He served as Mayor Pro Tem in 2006 and 2007, and as Mayor in 2008 and 2009. Prior to his election, Council Member Tettemer has been and continues to be active in the community in many ways. Council Member Tettemer was a member of the City's 10th Anniversary Committee, is a member of the City's Parade Committee and in 2002, joined the Kiwanis Club of Lake Forest where he volunteers at many events including Snowfest, Bunny Blast, and the Candlelight Tour and Victorian Christmas held at Heritage Hill Historical Park. He attended the City's first Leadership Academy, and in 2003, was appointed to the City of Lake Forest Planning Commission where he served until his election to City Council.
Council Member Tettemer has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a Certificate in Land Use and Environmental Planning. Council Member Tettemer is employed as the Water Resources Manager for a regional water district in Orange County. Mark and his wife Brenda, who were married in 1989, moved to Lake Forest in 1995 and have two children, daughter Kylie and son Garrett. Brenda is a Girl Scout Troop Leader and is active with the PTA as a Board member and committee volunteer.
