Animal control and shelter services in the City of Lake Forest are provided by the Orange County Animal Care (OCAC). Under this agreement, OC Animal Care provides the City with the following services:
Field Services: Impounding stray animals, picking-up injured wildlife, cruelty investigations, issuance of citations, nuisance complaints, etc.
Special Services: Pet and facility licensing.
Shelter Services: Receiving animals from the public, providing low cost vaccination clinics, pet adoptions, etc.
The Animal Control Services Agreement is administered by Jim Wren, City of Lake Forest Public Safety Manager.
