The Planning Division's primary responsibilities include implementation of the City's General Plan and Zoning Ordinance, and management of development in the City. This includes processing of land use and development applications for review by the City Council or Planning Commission. Good land use policy is critical to the City's future and ensures that Lake Forest maintains a high quality of life for residents and a viable local economy for businesses.
The Project consists of tenant improvements on the first floor, a building addition on the first floor, and a new second floor to the L203 building (20202 Windrow Drive). The Project also includes a new 13,253 square foot bridge that would connect the L203 and L202 buildings (20162 Windrow Drive). This project includes General Plan Amendment 03-18-5155, Zone Change 03-18-5144, and Use Permit 03-18-5146 for the establishment of the Great Scott Tree Service (GSTS) administrative functions and contractor’s storage yard including rehabilitating an existing single-family residence to be used as an office, maintaining an existing barn structure to be used as a storage warehouse, creating parking areas for the tree service vehicles and equipment, and creating a concrete pad for drying wood chips associated with GSTS tree cutting operations.
