Performing Arts Center

The Lake Forest Civic Center includes a City Council Chamber that doubles as a Performing Arts Center. When the City is not hosting official meetings of the City Council and Commissions, the Performing Arts Center is available for rent for plays, musicals, pageants, spelling bees, awards ceremonies, graduations, and similar events requiring theater space.

The following regulations and table provide information and the anticipated size of each rentable space to help you plan your event at the Lake Forest Civic Center!

Performing arts center advisory committee

Are you a theater buff? Comfortable on stage? Back stage?

The City is looking for you. Lake Forest is forming an advisory committee to help guide the use of the 200-seat Performing Arts Center at the Civic Center. Applicants should have some experience with the theater - from acting to producing to marketing.

The PAC is available for rentals for stage productions, concerts, and more.

The committee will meet quarterly and offer City staff insights on:

  • Increasing community involvement in the performing arts by raising awareness and facilitating the use of City-owned and operated performing arts venues by Mountain View-based community and/or other local organizations with special attention to underserved and/or underprivileged residents
  • Promoting synergy between performing artists, performing arts professionals, and the community through outreach programs
  • Promoting the booking of quality programs that reflect a programmatic mixture of theatre, music, and other performing arts
  • Encouraging the use of multimedia resources that make the arts accessible to the widest possible audience

For more information, or to apply, see the PAC Advisory Committee Form.
