Performing Arts Center

The City of Lake Forest suspended programming and closed the following facilities to the public until further notice:

  • City Hall
  • Community Center
  • The Clubhouse Senior Center
  • Performing Arts Center
  • Lake Forest Sports Park Recreation Center
  • Lake Forest Sports Park Synthetic Fields
  • Lake Forest Sports Park Soccer Fields
  • Basketball courts at Lake Forest Sports Park, Mountainview Park, Foothill Ranch Park, and Tamarisk Park
  • Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest
  • Heroes Park
  • Playgrounds throughout the City
  • Picnic shelters throughout the City

Though these recreation facilities are temporarily closed, the Community Services division launched a Virtual Recreation Center to provide the community with engaging virtual recreation opportunities.  Click here to visit the Virtual Recreation Center

The closures are in line with the Executive Order signed by Governor Gavin Newsom signed on March 19. The order is intended to slow the spread of coronavirus. The Executive Order may be found here: https://covid19.ca.gov/img/Executive-Order-N-33-20.pdf.  

During the Center closure, we will not be accepting or processing any applications for rental dates. If you would like to have your date considered for future dates please call Senior Recreation Supervisor, Monique Villasenor, at (949) 461-3438 to be put on an interest list. Once the center reopens we will begin calling all interested parties to secure rental dates.

Civic Center Rendering Council Chambers, Perf Arts, City Hall

The City has constructed the Lake Forest Civic Center which includes a City Council Chamber that will double as a Performing Arts Center.  When the City is not hosting official meetings of the City Council and Commissions, the Performing Arts Center will be available for rent for plays, musicals, pageants, spelling bees, awards ceremonies, graduations, and similar events requiring theater space.  

The following regulations and table provides information and anticipated size of each rentable space to help you plan your event at the Lake Forest Civic Center! The City anticipates to begin taking reservations beginning in January 2020 for dates starting in February.
