Affordable Housing In New Neighborhoods

  • The Arroyo at Baker Ranch -  a 189-unit affordable family apartment community located at 100 Indigo in the master planned community of Baker Ranch, in the City of Lake Forest.   • The new Portola Center development, at the intersection of Glenn Ranch Road and Saddleback Ranch Road, will include 57 one-bedroom senior affordable apartments for seniors 62 years+.  Community HousingWorks and Sun Ranch Capital Partners broke ground on May 13 for the affordable housing project. The project will offer an array of amenities and support services to increase financial and housing stability and overall wellness. Completion of the Portola Senior Apartments is anticipated for Fall 2023. The current ownership is Portola Senior Housing Associates, LP.   • The Mountain View Apartments, which are a 71-unit multi-family affordable housing project located at 24551 Raymond Way, was approved by the City Council in 2021. National Community Renaissance (National CORE) is the developer for the project, which is currently under construction.   • The Meadows Senior Affordable Apartments: The Meadows property (formerly "Nakase") was previously a wholesale plant nursery. It was approved by Planning Commission on August 19, 2021. The project includes a two-story 65-unit apartment complex, including 64 senior affordable units (of which 7 will be permanent supportive housing) and one market-rate manager’s unit, and associated site improvements. The project site is located on an approximately 2.6-acre lot in the Nakase Planned Community located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Rancho Parkway and Bake Parkway.
